Votives are very common for accenting a candle arrangement or daily buring. Due to the votives relativly large flame, the entire candle can become soft and begin to melt. Placing a votive in a proper container, usually made of glass or another fire proof material, will allow the votive to burn corrently by supporting the candles sides.
