Votives are very common for accenting a candle arrangement or daily burning. Due to the votives relatively large flame, the entire candle can become soft and begin to melt. Placing a votive in a proper container, usually made of glass or another fire proof material, will allow the votive to burn currently by supporting the candles sides.
