Keep Candles out of Drafts
A candle of good quality should last several hours per inch at least. One good way to ensure this is to never place a burning candle near a drafty area. Even a very slight breeze from can cause the flame to move excessively, melting wax off of the sides. This will lead to the candle spilling over on one side or the well of the candle filling up with wax and covering over the wick.
It could also be a safety hazard if the candle spilled over while unattended.
